Visa collection and delivery and delivery process for Ecuador and Costa Rica  will be done by  main India Visa Application Centre in Bogota

 

VFS will charge towards visa processing service fee, in addition to regular visa fee:

  • Colombian Pesos 21120  per passport from applicants in Bogota
  • Colombian Pesos 28800 per passport from applicants in Cali, Cartagena and Medellin
  • US$11 per passport from applicants in Ecuador and Costa Rica  
  • All visa applicants are requested to contact the India Visa Application Centre.  Postal/courier/Bank/agency charges , wherever applicable, will be additional, to be borne by the applicant.

 

DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL PASSPORT/LAISSEZ-PASSERS PASSPORT HOLDERS:   

          THE EMBASSY AT BOGOTA WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE AND SERVICE VISAS  DIRECTLY IN RESPECT OF DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL/UN LP PASSPORTS.

The following documents are required:

1.      Application form with photos(3x4 cms. White background)

2.      Letter from Colombian/Ecuadorian/Costa Rica Foreign Office      

       Please note that visa applications will NOT be accepted at the Indian embassy except for those holding diplomatic/official/ public affairs passports who may continue to submit their visa.

Note:

1. Passport of all applicants should be valid for six months.

General Information

 

  1.  Download application form.
  2. The applicant must attach all the requested documents on the first page of the application form.
  3. Under aged applicants must attach notarized liability letter from at least one of their parents.
  4. The Embassy only accepts sponsorships among parents & children and between spouses. In every case the applicant must attach proof of marital status or birth certificate.
  5. The Embassy will only accept appplications that have the complete documents. Bank deposit slip for the consular fees must be attached at the time of the applications.
  6. Applicants with double nationality must attach copy of both of their passports.  The applicant is free to apply on any of the passports .
  7. The visa process for other nationalities different from the ones this Embassy is acreditted for, takes at least five working days from the moment the application is accepted by the Embassy.
  8. The bank statements should be in the name of the applicant. For business visas the applicant must also attach the company's bank statements. 
  9. The applicant's passport should have at least four continuous blank pages in order to stamp the visa and its validity should be at least one year.

 NOTE       


“Any person seeking a visa to India for purpose of entering into a surrogacy arrangement must ascertain beforehand whether the law of that country permits surrogacy and will provide appropriate travel documents to the child for accompanying the surrogate parents.  Entering into surrogacy arrangement under any other visa not sought for surrogacy, is punishable under the Indian law.”

Notes:

Foreigners of Indian Origin:

Foreigners of Indian origin desiring to visit India for short periods each year to meet their relatives etc. can be granted 5 years multiple entry ‘X' visa with a stipulation that each stay shall not exceed 180 days. In this case no registration would be required if the foreigner does not stay beyond 180 days. In case a foreigner of Indian origin is desirous of staying continuously for longer period, the Mission could grant up to 5 year validity ‘X' visa without the limitation of 180 days. In the latter case, the usual condition of registration required within 14 days of first arrival in India (as per the foot note on the visa sticker) would apply.

The nationals of the following countries can be granted Gratis Visa

Afghanistan, Argentina, Bangladesh, Jamaica, Mauritius, Mongolia, Maldives, North Korea (DPRK), Slovak Republic, South Africa and Uruguay.

No visa is required for nationals of Nepal and Bhutan.
